Before I get to all the details, let me come right out and tell you what you’ve stumbled upon. My name is Troy Delaney and my goal is to become a resilient, versatile, and healthy human while living the highest performing and most enjoyable life possible…and help you do the same. If you like to tinker with your biology, push your limits and discover what makes you thrive, you’ve come to the right place. I write about and review the coolest things I’ve explored in the health, fitness and biohacking industry. Here are some of my most powerful tips to become fit for life—mentally and physical flexible, robust and resilient (what I call ANTIFRAGILE fit). Pick one that resonates with you and just try it for a week:
- Breathe. Properly I believe the first step to optimal health, performance and longevity is to become conscious of how you’re breathing and focus on proper breathing (nasal breathing 95% of the time). Then implement some type of breathing practice, even if it’s just focused breathing for two minutes.
- Get Uncomfortable. To become more resilient and just feel awesome, practice things that put you out of your comfort zone: fast, exercise, hot and/or cold exposure. I recommend contrast therapy, the exposure to extreme temperatures of hot and cold. The easiest way to experience the benefits is to complete the following 5-minute daily protocol in the shower (in a fasted state, if possible): 10 seconds warm, 20 seconds cold for 10x through.
- Caffeine Reset. To improve both your physical and mental performance with coffee, do a caffeine reset. To learn more, click here.
- Breathe. Establish a daily breathing routine (this will be a game-changer). It can be as simple as two minutes of the energizing Wim Hof method or Dr. Weil’s stress-relieving 4-7-8. Go ahead, try it right now. I won’t go anywhere.
